Operators are experiencing today a growing problem from the reception of fraud and spam SMS originating from foreign networks. Fraud SMS mainly consists of fake mobile originated (MO) SMS sent from the international network to the operator’s SMS-C. This may cause incorrect charging of the operator’s own subscribers. Spam SMS consists of bulk unwanted mobile terminated (MT) SMS including commercial advertisements. This type of messages irritates mobile subscribers and may cause churn.

Operators are requesting the possibility to block both fraud and spam messages originating from other international networks and will find Invigo’s SMS International Firewall solving their problem.
